Samsung PN50B550 – Great TV, ( believe me ) poor sound
I used to own a consumer electronics repair shop representing several brands. The following are my thoughts regard this Samsung HDTV set.

1. Excellent picture quality. Cannot interrogate for better.
2. Poor sound. Speakers seem to poor for the chore of main speakers. Suitable for language ( book ).
3. Absence of a s – video input connector.
4. Deprivation of multichannel ( eg. 5. 1 ) sound from the optical audio connector. Matchless two channels will profit.
5. Closed captions matchless available with sources connected thru the RF connector.
6. In my case, incompatibility with my Specialist Atlanta DVR ( announcement ) when using HDMI. The TV consign impact the HD programming to 480i. I had to touch the DVR using the Agency Video inputs.
