Product Description:
With the introduction of the LC46LE700UN, Sharp combines its legendary AQUOS LCD panel technology with a newly developed, proprietary Full Array LED backlight system to create picture quality that is second to none. The LC46LE700UN illustrates Sharp's LCD technology leadership while also demonstrating its LED engineering advantages. Sharp's Ultra Brilliant LED system illuminates the TV to extremely high brightness and contrast levels and enables significant environmental benefits such as longer life expectancy, no heavy metals and lower power consumption. At the same time, the new XGen LCD Panel utilizes an ingeniously devised pixel design that permits more light to pass through even while minimizing light leakage, with the result being the deepest black levels that AQUOS has ever achieved. Overall, the LC46LE700UN shows that with Sharp, it's not just LED… it's AQUOS LED.

Customer Reviews

Beware of terrible SELLER!!
I am not here to review this item in particular but to advice people who is thinking on purchasing something from Electronics Expo, DON'T DO IT. This company is straight up garbage. I highly do not recommend buying something from them. Their customer service is terrible and if in case the product is defective or change your mind about it, there are no returns, just exchanges; so you can forget about getting your money back if that's the case. I would recommend on purchasing a product straight from amazon, which has an excellent customer support if something were to happen. Don't put yourself in a bad situation that you could regret.

NOT a power hog!! Awesome picture.
We have had this set (LC46LE700UN) for a couple of months now. Amazing picture when there is a HiDef source, even decent from low def stations. Colors are stunning (bright and clean) and blacks are BLACK, not dark gray. REALLY like the power stats too. I hooked up an amp meter to this set for awhile and ran it through multiple settings. When the "OPC" is on and power saving mode is in full swing, the 46 in. model showed .34 - .40 amps. With power savings mode (OPC) disabled and settings normal, it measured anywhere from .75 - .88 amps. In general terms, that gives you a full range of around 50 - 100 watts of power used. This unit puts out NO heat. We are using a different brand DVD player that upconverts to 1080p throught the hdmi cable and are very pleased with the results. Given the expected life of the LED backlight, and the quality of the picture, I feel it was a great purchase.

Dream in a Box
I LOVE this television. Price was outstanding but I should've waited a week to purchase it because Amazon cut the price even more, making it an even better deal! I give the TV 5 stars but delivery was a nightmare. The truck stalled at the bottom of my hill in a rain storm and the Sharp Aquos had to be loaded into my car to get it to the house. After that happened, the delivery person not-so-happily rode with me and took the TV inside (because I asked him to). He did not unbox it as promised by Amazon.

Best TV Ever
The picture on this TV is so amazing. Cyrstal clear. Great Color. Super easy to set up. Very easy to change input. Love everything about it and we watch TV.

Sharp 46" LED Aquos
Bought this 46" Sharp LED TV from "6ave" in December 2009. 6ave beat everyone's price to include the military exchange price (which includes no tax or shpping charges!) and all local big box stores. As for the TV itself, it was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition, double boxed, by UPS. (Thanks 6ave!) My 16 y/o son and I had it set up in about 15 minutes, programmed in another 10, and have been enjoying it since. We have cable and now receive 115 channels vice the previous 60 or so, with no change to our cable plan. The set up was 2 wires - the electric, and the cable. Loads of inputs/outputs on the back AND controls and inputs on the side as well, in case you wall mount it. Picture? Well, it depends. I felt it was a little out of focus even after a detailed setup, but the problem was we were receiving analog broadcasts on a digital TV. When we got to the digital channels, the picture was truly awesome. (For technical info, see the Sharp website - I won't bore you here). Picture and options are overwhelming and we are all very happy with: our purchase, the seller, and most of all the great price.
