very good TV – Samsung user – TV arrived in a timely manner and works very well. No problems to date and I am very satisfied with it. A pair of .00 25W capacitors which were replaced with 50W capacitors. I spent ,400.00 dollars on this TV and it breaks after less than 1 1/2 years? This issue is not isolated to just me, there are plenty of people experiencing this issue. Please see link on the [...] thread ([...]) or Google “Samsung ln52a750 TV turning on and off” to see all the other folks experiencing the problem. I spoke with Samsung customer support requesting that they cover the complete expense of the repair (0.00) even though I was out of warranty. It is my feeling that for the amount of money I paid for the TV it should not break in less than a year and a half. I could have purchased a second tier brand like Vizio for half the price. I thought I was getting not only a better TV from a technology stand point but also a better TV in terms of the quality of the components. Samsung refused to honor my request saying that the repair occurred outside of my warranty. They said that if the part broke again they would cover that repair expense. The repair tech installed a replacement part that was double the capacity of the original equipment! What is the likeliness that the new capacitors would break? I told them that refusing to honor my request would result in Samsung loosing me as a customer. They told me that was my choice. I told them that I would post warnings to friends on Facebook not to buy Samsung TV’s because of their poor customer service and substandard parts. They said that was my choice as well. I feel Samsung has totally dropped the ball on this. They did not offer me any type of compensation for all the time and money I spent getting their shoddy TV fixed. Saying your sorry can only go so far. We LOVE this tv and the price was awesome. Our only complaint was the delivery company once it landed in Seattle. They were a bit grouchy and not flexible at all on when they could bring it. They informed me that if I didn’t take the one appt time they offered me it would be over a month until they could deliver it again. With a busy family and two working parents it was less than ideal. I would definitely purchase this product again but unfortunately probably not through Amazon if they are still using the same delivery company.
I purchased my Samsung LN52A750 in August of 2008. The picture is really good and in general I like the TV a lot. Early December 2009 I started to experience problems with the TV turning itself off and on. At first it would do this for a minute or so and then stay on and work fine. After several days of it doing this it just never came back on. It would constantly turn itself off and on and i was forced to unplug the TV. I went to Samsung’s website and attempted their suggested work around. Since the work around did not fix the problem it was recommended that I should open a service call. I setup an appointment with the local service department that is affiliated with Samsung, they came out and in about an hour they fixed the problem.

I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT FROM AMAZON. IT CAME ON TIME, AND THE PRICE WAS SUPER. I BROUGHT IT TO VENEZUELA, AND THE TV HAD AUDIO WORKING OK, BUT NO VIDEO. SAMSUNG DID NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. IT HAS BEEN GOING FROM ONE REPAIR SHOP TO ANOTHER. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN 4 MONTHS WITHOUT THE TV. HONESTLY, IT IS A POOR QUALITY PRODUCT.
NONE OF THE SONY THAT I HAVE BOUGHT (MORE THAN 4) HAS NEVER FAILED ME.
I WILL NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN.
Bought this just before I went into the hospital. Got out and had it hanging on the wall in the bedroom. PERFECT. I was so happy. Sharp crisp images and full screen 
I used the product reviews and a trip to my local big box store to select the Samsung 2353. The set is supported by Dish Network and shows a great picture. Thanks to all who post their reviews.
I was told the TV had some minor surface scrathes, but the TV arrived as good as new..very happy with the purchase.

I was debating between buying the 58″ and the 63″, and I am so glad that I make my decision towards the 63″. This TV is just great, the picture quality is just superb than any other TV in the same level, actually this TV has a better quality that those on the higher levels and more pricy. I have already three month with the TV and I loved more every time I watch it.
If you can’t make your mind between the 58″ and the 63″, put it this way, if you are going to buy a nice TV and spend the money WHY NOT GO FOR THE BEST ONE?……..Good Look.
great picture on the Tv. delivery was on time. Tv was unloaded, brought into my home, unpacked and hooked to the cable. no complaints at all.
I’m not much on doing these reviews, but I have to tell you that if you are looking for this size TV you will most likely love the set.

I purchased this tv 45 days ago. When I recieved the TV, the base/stand was missing, and called customer service. They were friendly and said they would ship it – I still don’t have it. Yesterday, I tried to eject a DVD and it is stuck in the drive and I can’t get it out – google this, it is apparently common. I’ve called customer service four times now, and the automated prompts let me wait a couple minutes, then hang up on me telling me “that voicemail box is full”. Don’t buy this TV!
I bought this through SHOP NBC…got the extended warranty with it. It has worked fine except that it tends to “lean” toward the front some, causing it to almost tip over several times.This morning it tipped all the way and hit my cedar chest in my bedroom…of course busting the screen beyond repair.I called both Shop NBC & westinghouse and was given lame excuses of why they would not cover it…even explaining the “tipping” issue associated with the TV itself. I guess that I should have bolted it against the wall.So,I’m out almost 700.00..just bought it on 3/3/09.
Like a lot of people I’ve been reading about, I started having problems with my Westinghouse LCD television only a few months after purchasing it. Unfortunately, my problems are sporadic and, not noticing them when viewing cable television, I assumed that this problem was caused by the other input source I used on it (a video game console). I had that unit serviced twice, and by the time I realized that the problem was with the television and not the input source, the unit was out of warranty by about 3 months. Despite having documentation to show that my problems began only a few months after buying their product, their customer disservice department basically told me I was up poop creek. I guess it was crazy of me to expect a 0 television to work properly for a whole year and a half. Thanks for nothing, Westinghouse! Next time, I’ll go with Toshiba or Samsung, and I would encourage anyone else to do the same.
Lots of inputs, is still semi-functional a whole 15 months after purchase.
Discolored static on areas of uniform color (esp. white and red), framerate drops (bad for gaming), customer service is unresponsive and will allegedly make you pay out of your own pocket for any service they grudgingly provide, other customers have reported sets going dead entirely.

This is my first purchase of a LCD tv. I think that the plasma screen gives a better picture because there is no distortion from any viewing area, but the LCD is a good picture if viewed straight on. If you sit too close though, it gets a little grainy.
Very Good small sized HDTV. Has very sharp picture. Flesh tones however are not rendered well.
I would recommend this product to anyone.Great value for the money.Just big enough to put into a bedroom T.V.cabinet.The sound is good.The picture quality is great. There are quite a few options to personalize settings of your preference.A must have.

Great television for the price – Frank Chen – Santa Barbara, CA United States this is what a value TV should be, and comparison with Sony 46W5150 – Dakishimesan – San Francisco, CA USA For myself, I bought the Sony 120hz 46W5150 Bravia Engine 3 1,000,000:1 contrast; and for mom and dad, this TV, ths Samsung 40b500. The result is that this TV (Samsung) is perfect for mom and dad, and in truth probably would have satisfied me too. Both are exceptionally vibrant and clear. My Sony TV offers a few shades deeper (almost perfectly pure) black level, but this Samsung is almost there with deep/rich blacks. If you are downgrading from a 120hz TV to the Samsung, you will notice the lack, but if you’ve only ever had a CRT or 60hz LCD I do not personally believe 120hz justifies a lot more money, but this is personal preference. Speakers are comparable. My Sony offers 8+ inputs including 4 HDMI, this Samsung only has 2 HDMI and 1 component/composite shared. I could go on an on making technical comparisons, but I think the most helpful info I can share is that, having lived with and loved my Sony W-Series for a few months (a mid to top of the line unit), this Samsung offers 80-90% of the black level, contrast, and beautifully sharp image at about 50% of the price. The low number of inputs is not an issue if you are aware of it beforehand. I hooked my parents cable box up to the component, their DVD player to the HDMI 1, and the Roku HD player to HDMI 2. If they get a blu-ray player, it will replace the DVD player on HDMI 1. excellent – jama – sweetwater,tn usa Excellent TV for the money. I suggest you have high definition cable/satelite or other wise the picture quality is a “little” grainy. I bought this television before Christmas Eve for about [...] from Sears with Bing Cashback. It was such a great deal. Out of the box, the picture quality is not great because you have to adjust the settings. I recommend going to [...] and looking up Samsung settings. I was able to use a setting for one of the Samsung televisions and the picture quality looked great. On the PS3, Modern Warfare 2 looks awesome. So does Dragons Age I might add. I think the people who are complaining about picture quality are not putting in the proper settings to show the true picture quality of the television.
In the last three months of this year (2009) I did hours worth of research deciding on which 2 LCD TV’s to buy: a 46″ for myself that I planned to do all kinds of crazy things with including hooking up my computer via DVI->HDMI, using a roof-mounted antenna for the over-the-air tuner, using with a HTPC, etc; and a 40″ for my mom and dad that would simply offer great picture quality.

Mueller – Kansas City, MO Samsung LN37A450 – Rocky Balboa – Lakewood, CO I have encountered a lot of problems with the “mura effect” also called “clouding” It has made it difficult to watch movies with a dark background because of the “mura effect” in the corners. I also see the “clouding” when changing channels. Recently I started hearing a buzzing sound when the channels were changed (the Samsung tech who came by this weekend, said that some people have been experiencing that). The tech replaced the screen/control panel to no avail! Now the voices often come across as buzzing/vibrating sounds. Not good when you are trying to watch the NFL Playoffs! This LCD has been a lemon for me, along with my previous version of this LCD. Between the two LCD’s I have had 5 visits by Samsung for various problems! I have requested that Samsung refund my money…. I am waiting for that call from the highest department (I should be getting that call by tomorrow). If I do not get the refund, I will “try” to talk with the Office of the President of Samsung…. For the money I spent on the LCD it would be worth a try! ****Update**** The call back has still not happened…. 1/21-I was told the e-mail to a case manager was sent marked as a priority. 2/12- I was told it was in the que of a case manager and another e-mail was sent. 2/19-I was told to send a copy of my receipt to Samsung. So I am still waiting…….

We purchased the Samsung this past Christmas and are very happy with it. We read so many reviews and went to different stores checking out the competition. It seems that many people thought the sound was less than what it should be but we think it is fine. We are around 60 so it has taken us awhile to figure out what is what but other than that we are very pleased. Gayle
Absolutely beautiful picture in HD on OTA. I bought this TV for my parents and they are blown away. The SD looks alright on it as well. My parents will be soon switching to DirectTV’s HD programming because after watching HD they do not want to go back. The one star I take away is I tried to update the firmware and once it scanned the USB drive on the back the TV shut off and never came back on. Don’t know if that is an isolated problem but I called Samsung and within a week had a new main drive and power supply put into it.
I received this LN37A450 as a replacement to the previous model, which would have been a horrible review in itself! I have only had the LN37A450 for three months.
